Evel Knievel, who died 2007, was an American daredevil, painter, entertainer, and world-famous icon. Throughout his career he attempted over 75 ramp-to-ramp motorcycle jumps between 1965 and 1980. He had either 433 or 35 broken bones, the real facts are confusing, he suffered during his career earning him the Guinness Book of World Records as the survivor of most bones broken in a lifetime. Some factoids about Evel Knievel, Evel wore a white outfit with red and blue trim so he would look the opposite of Hells Angels bikers who wore all black leather. Evel was also famously known for being a real rabble-rouser; he, being an alcoholic, drank a half a fifth of whiskey every day, had a diamond-encrusted walking cane full of Wild Turkey, he kicked his son, Robbie, in the face, breaking Robbie's nose, after Evel caught him stealing alcohol, and beat the living crap out of a biographer with a baseball bat in 1977 and was later imprisoned for it. Evel spent more time practicing crashes than safe landing and all of his motorcycle records were eventually broken by his son Robbie.
